Eco-tax on water bottles

Starting 1st January this year, Chicago has added a 5 cent tax on every water bottle sold. The Daily Green reminds about the seven deadly sins of water bottles.

Good idea for any area where drinking good quality water from the tap is an option! I don't mind paying a bit extra on the occasion I need something to drink. I have to confess that I quite often go for a (diet) soda, but I don't think the price has much to do with the choice, as some skeptics say in Chicago tribune.
